I was pleasantly surprised to read an article in the electronic Straits Times today that the Singaporean Health Minister Khaw Book Wan has a blog too! And that he uses it as a way to inform the community about medical legislative issues. The article didn't state the URL, but I managed to find it easily enough!
He's been blogging since September 2009 apparently. And it's a collection of blogs from various people including Tan Ser Kiat from Singhealth.
Not surprisingly, nothing has been mentioned regarding the recent liposuction controversy or the many newspaper articles about errant doctors. It seems to be a very legislative platform.
The Ministry of Health has even set up a Facebook page! I've not checked that out yet, and I don't think I will in a hurry either!
