New Respect For Window Sticker Installers!

There are 2 consultation rooms in the Divine Medspa reception area. So that the clients have an element of privacy, yet do not need to fear hard selling (which is banned with us), these rooms have glass walls all around. I love them, but the staff tell me that many near mishaps, plus a couple of bumps have happened when people try to walk straight through the glass.

We'd discussed all the available options previously, but never found the right solution. The rooms are quite small, so more curtains would make them claustrophobic.

With the most recent incident (about 2 months ago), I was forced to seriously hunt for alternatives. Out of desperation, I did a search for glass stickers and widened my search worldwide.

Fortunately, I managed to find a British online store with a wide selection of designs. I found something suitable that would blend into the existing decor, and ordered using my friend's London address.

The goods arrived after a couple of days, but he sat on them for weeks! And we almost thought they'd got lost in the mail! But luckily, they arrived yesterday.

So we cleaned the glass, followed the instructions and pasted the stickers on.

That was the easy part!

When I tried pulling the backing paper off, the motifs stayed right on.We waited for the water to dry out a bit, but that didn't make any difference either. Eventually, I had to slowly ease each flower out and pray it sticks in the right place. Naturally, there's lots of bubbles and the odd crease. I'll call it giving it a 3D effect!

The entire exercise took almost 2 hours to complete. And I made a bit of a pig's ear out of it! Doctoring seems much easier in comparison! And I certainly have great respect for these professionals that do this day in and day out for a living, and do it so beautifully.
